How I make liquid soap

With a little amount of money, you can start liquid soap production. Liquid soap/detergent is a very strong cleaning agent which is more powerful than solid soap. Liquid soap can be used for laundry, dish washing, house cleaning, hand washing etc.

You Need These Equipment:
Mixer, weighing scale, graduated cylinder, stirrer

Chemical Reagents And Quantity Needed:
CDEA 500 grams
STPP 300 grams
Table salt (NaCl2) 75 grams
SLES 1 kg
Fragrance TO TASTE
Colourant TO TASTE
Water 8.5 liters

Procedure:
Measure out the required quantity of all the chemicals

Put the SLES into the mixer and add little water to it

Stir to smoothness

To the solution above add 500 grams of CDEA and continue stirring to smoothness. Add water occasionally as the need arise.

Put the STPP in separate water and stir well

Add the STPP solution into the mixer and continue stirring

Dissolve the salt in little amount of water and add to the mixer while continuing stirring

Add the perfume and continue stirring

Package the detergent in the right containers and start smiling to the bank. All these equipments and chemical reagents are available in all states in Nigeria. You can also buy them online.

A little Chemistry Lecture:
CDEA is the short form of Coconut Fatty Acid Diethanolamide or Cocamide DEA or Diethanolamide of Coconut Fatty Acid or Coconut Oil Acid Diethanolamine or Coconut diethanolamide. They mean the same.
It is a non-ionic surfactant used is shampoo, liquid soaps, detergents etc.

SLES stands for Sodium laureth sulfate, or sodium lauryl ether sulfate. It is an anionic detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste etc.). SLES is an inexpensive and very effective foaming agent. SLES, SLSALS and sodium pareth sulfate are surfactants that are used in many cosmetic products for their cleansing and emulsifying properties. They behave similarly to soap.

Table salt (NaCl2is Sodium Chloride which is the common salt we use for cooking.

STPP stands for sodium tripolyphosphate. It can also be called Sodium triphosphate (STP) or (TPP). It is an inorganic compound with formula Na5P3O10. It is the sodium salt of the polyphosphonate penta-anion, which is the conjugate base of triphosphoric acid. It is produced on a large scale as a component of many domestic and industrial products, especially detergents. The majority of STPP is consumed as a component of commercial detergents. It serves as a "builder," industrial jargon for a water softener. In hard water (water that contains high concentrations of Mg2+ and Ca2+), detergents are deactivated. Being a highly charged chelating agent, TPP5-(or P3O10) binds to dications tightly and prevents them from interfering with the sulfonate detergent.

Table salt (NaCl2and STPP have some preservative properties. That means they help in elongating the expiry date of the detergent
