Join Me And Learn As I Manufacture A Solar Panel

Is there actually anyone or any company that is manufacturing solar panels here in Nigeria? It seems every body in Nigeria wants already made products from foreign countries. This shows how lazy we all are. I have decided to embark on a project of manufacturing standard solar panels here in Nigeria. Solar panels are one of the easiest things to make. If many people in this country can learn how to make solar panels, it will surely help to alleviate the problems of erratic power supply which seems to have become an 'incurable disease' in Nigeria.

The high costs of commercial solar panels scares people away from tapping from the numerous benefits of solar power. It is far more cheap to construct your own solar panels than to buy already made ones. Just be prepared to throw away your generator soon.

The amount of power that the sun deposits on the surface of the earth is about 1000W/m2(watts per square meter). Plants and other organisms capture the energy of the sunlight and convert it to chemical energy that can be later released to fuel their activities. The oxygen released in the process of photosynthesis is used by man and other animals for respiration. In the past, the sun was used to make fire and now, with the invention of photovoltaic technology, the modern man has got another means of generating electricity.Use of solar energy (photo voltaic systems or PV systems) has a lot of advantages over the use of traditional power sources:

1.   It is environment friendly (it does not have the disadvantages associated with continuous fuel usage such as global warming, acid rains, water pollution, sound pollution etc.)

All about toothpaste and its ingredients

Everybody's mouth is like a private ''zoo'' which contains one or more of many types of microorganisms. Among these organisms, especially  Streptococcus mutans, some create sticky plaque from food residue in the mouth. There, in the mouth, microorganisms feed on leftover food to make acid and volatile sulphur molecules. The volatile sulphur molecules give breath its foul odour while the acid eats into tooth enamel to create cavities.

Toothpaste works together with tooth brushing to clean teeth and remove the plaque and bacteria. Toothpastes can be defined as mild cosmetic detergents for cleaning teeth. Also known as dentifrices, toothpastes have chemical compounds that clean and polish the user's teeth. Dentifrices come in three forms namely, liquid, powder and paste. Pastes are the most popular of the three.

We are familiar with many brands of toothpastes. Examples are Colgate, Enamel Saver, Tom's of Maine, Mentadent, Crest, Aquafresh Whitening, AIM and Closeup. What are they made of?

The five main ingredients of toothpastes are mild soap, abrasive, active ingredient,

10 Inspiring lessons from Aliko Dangote - richest man in Africa

Dangote, a Nigerian and the most richest African, attended Al-Azhar University Cairo, Egypt where he studied business studies.

Business studies generally involve theoretical, and perhaps also practical, coursework in how to manage a company, construct a business model and generally run a business. They may also involve the study of accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and/or supply chain management

One may probably say that Dangote would not have done so well in business as he has done if he had not gone to an Egyptian University to study business studies. But wait, there are many Nigerians who have studied the same course in Harvard University which was ranked the best University in the whole wide world. Many of them ended up as mere employees in poor firms.

Then, what were the secrets behind Dangote's success? The following are the top ten inspiring things I have learnt from Dangote:

1. Manufacture; don’t just trade
Dangote advised “Manufacture, don’t just trade. There is money in manufacturing even though it is capital intensive. To achieve a big breakthrough, I had to start manufacturing the same product I was trading on; which is commodities.”

2. Build a brand, and don’t destroy it
He also said “To succeed in business, you must build a brand and never destroy it. One competitive advantage I had when I ventured into manufacturing was my brand “Dangote,” which I diligently built in the course of my trading commodities.”

3. Sell cheap, give quality and don’t kill the competition
Another saying by Dangote is “Don’t kill the competition. Competition is healthy for

How I make liquid soap

With a little amount of money, you can start liquid soap production. Liquid soap/detergent is a very strong cleaning agent which is more powerful than solid soap. Liquid soap can be used for laundry, dish washing, house cleaning, hand washing etc.

Chemistry

Since most of my products are chemical based and involves chemistry, it would be my pleasure to start this blog by defining chemistry.

Chemistry can be simply defined as the science that systematically studies the composition, properties, and activities of organic and inorganic substances and various elementary forms of matter.

As the earth originated, chemistry also began to play its important role in this world. Life itself also began as a result of chemicals. Our bodies are made of chemicals. When we eat, breathe, or just sit down, chemical reactions are taking place. In fact, all matter is made of chemicals. We are made of chemicals. So is all plants and animals, our houses, the sun, drugs, food etc.

Many of the changes we observe in the world around us are caused by chemical reactions. Examples are climate change, changing colours of leaves, cooking food, aging, getting clean etc. Even our thoughts and emotions are as a result of neurochemical reactions in our brains.

Some knowledge of chemistry can help you make day to day decisions that can help your life. Which ingredients in this cosmetic is not safe for me? Can I mix these household chemicals? Will my bottled water expire? What are safe mosquito repellents? How can I save money by making my own cosmetics and medicine? And so on...
